The 2016 Physics Meeting took place from the 3rd to the 7th of September in the beautiful city of Natal-RN. It was a unique event, as it was also the celebration of the fiftieth anniversary of the Brazilian Physics Society (SBF).

Therefore, it was a great opportunity to group together several events on different topics in Physics, encouraging collaboration between researchers from different areas. The grouped events were:

• National Meeting of Particle and Field Physics

• Working Meeting on Nuclear Physics in Brazil

• National Condensed Matter Physics Meeting

• Research Meeting on Physics Teaching

• Brazilian Plasma Physics Meeting
